Fra Angelico, Rothko, Ryman and Me

This is a short film made by Ben Morris of my visit to San Marco in Florence on 23rd March 2023. My first visit was in 1978, and my second in 1984. I didn’t realise that Rothko had visited San Marco and the frescoes had a profound impact on his painting - and mine.
